The dates: May 27 – July 17, 2010.

The location: Rio All Suite Hotel And Casino in Las Vegas.

Be there…or at least watch it on ESPN.

There will be a total of 57 gold bracelets up for grabs over the course of 51 days. On May 28, the first bracelet event will be the Player’s Championship ($50,000 buy-in), which has the distinction of boasting this series’ highest buy-in price tag ever. This event will follow an 8 game format, with the final table being No-Limit Hold’em. Keep in mind that this event basically replaced the H.O.R.S.E event of recent past.

The series opening weekend (and the following four weekends) showcases a $1,000 buy-in, four-day No-Limit Hold’em tournament.

A new event this year will be a $25,000 buy-in 6-handed No-Limit Hold’em tournament, which will play across four days.

The conclusion of the 41st annual WSOP stays true to the precedent set: the Main Event (aka a $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Championship) which kicks off on July 5, and is expected to reach its final table of 9 players on July 17. Then the event is parked until November 6 – 9, for the “November Nine” to battle it out before a live audience.

For the first time in its history, the entire convention center of the Rio will be used to host the 2010 World Series of Pokers. In 2009, the WSOP generated 60,875 entries from 115 different countries, all competing for more than $174 million. 2010 WSOP is sure to beat those numbers on every level as entrants will now have a chance to play in expanded space, at more poker tables than ever before.

Pre-registration for this installment of WSOP is actually available now at the Main Cage of the Rio, or online through www.wsop.com, where you’ll also be able to find a complete 2010 WSOP schedule.
